My client currently has an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Papermill Process Coordinator to build functional papermaking capability within the Papermill Team Leaders and Team members. To coach and mentor team members to create standards to stabilise and sustain the process.

Overview of Vacancy:
This is a new role based in the Papermill and the successful candidate will be on call approximately one week in every 4 or 5. He/she will ensure co-ordination between night and day shifts and will make sure that all relevant information is shared and activities handed over accordingly. He/she will co-ordinate part of the morning meeting following night shift end, and attend the Line Meeting that follows to help set priorities for the day. He/she will be responsible for coaching and mentoring staff in the mill and will be a functional expert with knowledge of how to run machines in the papermill. The successful candidate must have the ability to co-ordinate the efforts of relevant team members in order to problem solve.
The ability to lead and influence is key to this role. Paper making knowledge/expertise would be ideal, although experience in a continuous manufacturing environment may be suitable. The successful person would train to be an NVQ assessor to support the strategy to employ Process Apprentices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Delivers high safety standards, complying with company & legal requirements
• Build a strong Operational and Engineering link
• Accountable for higher level problem solving with the shift teams
• Demonstrate and drive adherence and standards within Papermill/ Stock Prep
• Coach and mentor operational & process staff to develop their skills
• Responsible for checking and planning operational shuts
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Person Specification
• Must have experience of working within Conversion or Papermill/ Stock Prep area
• High Energy, drive and an analytical approach is key to this role
• Excellent problem solving, tenacity and interpersonal skills are also essential
• Ability to transfer knowledge and build capability
