Based within the development department, a Project Leader is required to lead the development of one or more test and measurement products for use within the Electrical Supply and distribution industry. Reporting to the Technical Director/Business Unit Manager the role holder will lead development projects, either internally with a team of 3-5 engineers or through coordination of sub-contract developments with external companies.

Experience
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with 5 years experience in Project Management in the design and development of electronic equipment for medium volume production.
Broad experience of applying Project Management tools and techniques and a sound understanding of analog/digital electronics design and firmware development is essential though the candidate may specialise in one or more disciplines.
Candidates must have awareness and experience of designing for LVD and EMC whilst experience in the use of design tools such as DFM and FMEA along with manufacturing technologies and test systems would be a distinct advantage.
The role requires excellent presentation and communication skills and the ability to coordinate and motivate both small teams of engineers and wider cross functional groups to meet project targets.

Qualifications: Good degree, (2.1 or above), in Electrical/Electronic engineering or related subject.
