A vacancy has arisen for a product qualification engineer to support both the Power and Building Wiring business units at the Dover site.

The product qualification engineer will take a leading role in the development of new product qualification testing to ensure our Company’s products compliance with both our internal standards and the relevant international industry standards alike.

The successful candidate shall have a relevant academic qualification at degree, HND or HNC level. This qualification will be combined with at least 5 years proven post qualification experience ideally gained in compliance testing within the test and measurement industry. They shall also have strong experience of using EMC test equipment and other test and measurement techniques associated with Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM). Having the ability to represent the Company professionally on a national and international level, they shall be an effective member of both internal and external committees, maintaining the Company’s interests at all times.

The successful candidate will have: -
• Knowledge of circuit design and optimum layout for EMC compatibility
• Working knowledge of the use of GTEM equipment
• Knowledge of Industry relevant standards, in particular IEC61010 and IEC61557 (needs to have detailed / expert knowledge in this area)
• Knowledge of the comprehensive use of test and measurement equipment and the ability to interpret the results and compare with the test specifications
• Strong presentation skills and team / committee member
• The ability to deliver projects elements on time
• The ability to articulate in report writing
• The ability to carry out personal development in acquiring a `knowledge base on national and international standards relevant to the company industry sector
• A willingness to represent the company’s interest both nationally and internationally.
• Good negotiating skills
